A scalable digital system

This ES9018s DAC ESS ES9018s module features leading design and components. It will offer the possibility to upgrade your DIY creations to enjoy an ever superior sound quality. Its particularly meticulous design distinguishes it from today's production with particular care for each supply section (X5 3300µF filtering) for the DAC ES9018s with two LDO LT1763 and 3 LM317T controllers. The analogue part follows a different path with discrete component control such as FET IRF9610 for the fastest rise time.

The SPDIF RCA digital section isolated by Pulse 75ohm transformer has a direct digital input that is ideally managed by the ES9018S chips on JYEC 100Mhz full format full clock. Delivered without USB interface, this DAC has an optional USB card with three separate XMOS U8 low drift clocks.

A modular analogue section

A good DAC would be nothing without a high quality analog part. the four PDOs are on DIP8 support type JRC5534 x2 and JRC5532 X2. This way, you can change the sound signature corresponding to your HIFI system at will. The two JRC 5532s are on the I/V voltage current transformer stage followed by the two JRC 5534 mono buffers. The options are therefore multiple with a wide choice of interchangeable PDOs.

A readable display with digital volume management

This DAC features 64-bit digital volume management on 60 non-destructive steps. This DAC can therefore be used as a HUB digital audio preamplifier with a pair of active speakers. The display is separable from the button command part for a better integration of your achievements.

Optional USB interface

This DAC has an optional USB Xmos U8 interface card that can be plugged into the printed circuit board. It is available in the accessory category at the bottom of the page: XMOS U8 vertical interface 24 bit/192kHz.

This module requires a 2x9V AC transformer and a 15V AC transformer.
