Galvanic Insulation Module for Raspberry Pi / Odroid
This IsolatorPi II module in HAT format proposed by Ian Canada allows to provide a Raspberry Pi or ODROID SBC with total galvanic isolation for I2S, I2C and power supply between the SBC and the digital interface / DAC. This ensures that the EMI noise transmission from the SBC is cancelled via ground and audio signal.
Cancelling this noise allows your audio modules to operate optimally for clear and accurate sound reproduction. This improvement is all the more obvious when you use quality power and clocks for your audio modules.
The IsolatorPi II supports I2S 768kHz and DSD512. Its intelligent and bi-directional architecture allows it to work with audio modules in slave or master mode. In addition, the board incorporates a second 40-pin GPIO connector (not isolated) to allow the integration of additional modules, such as an IR receiver or rotary encoder, while preserving the isolated circuit for the audio modules.
