Ian Canada's IsolatorPi V3 is a HAT module that provides galvanic isolation for I2S/DSD/DoP signals, the I2C bus, some GPIO pins and power between the Raspberry Pi and digital audio modules. This means that it removes EMI noise from the Raspberry Pi via the ground and the audio signal, enabling your modules to work better. This progress in terms of clarity and precision in the sound reproduction of your modules is all the more evident when you use quality power supplies and clocks for them.
An improved version of the IsolatorPi II, the IsolatorPi III uses a high-quality 5KV isolator and real physical isolation of the circuits for optimum results. The Ian Canada IsolatorPi III supports I2S 768kHz and native DSD up to DSD512.
Its smart, bidirectional architecture enables it to work with audio modules in slave or master mode. Moreover, the board incorporates a second 40-pin GPIO connector (non-isolated) to enable the integration of additional modules, such as an IR receiver or rotary encoder, while preserving the isolated circuit for the audio modules.
