The Ian Canada SinePi is a low jitter dual input sine to square wave conversion module that allows an external high performance clock oscillator to be adapted to the FifoPi. The SinePi uses an architecture and topology specifically designed to maintain signal integrity and ensure very low additional jitter. A unified sine to square converter has been implemented to eliminate interference between the two active converters. This module also provides full signal isolation between the SinePi and the unselected input to reduce interference and crosstalk. The use of this module is very simple as it can be directly installed on the FifoPi.

  • One piece PCB with 8 pins for easy connection to FifoPi XO sockets.
  • Unified sine to square converter to ensure very low jitter and excellent signal quality.
  • Supports full sine mode with two external sine inputs and half sine mode with one local clock and one external sine input.
  • Compatible with FifoPi Q1, Q2 and Q3.
  • Both clock and ground signals can be disconnected from the unselected input using the built-in relay for the best possible clock isolation.
  • NP0 and organic polymer capacitor power supply decoupling network enhanced to ensure very low power supply noise.
  • Angled SMA RF input connectors for easy integration.
  • Metal film resistors with a tolerance of 0.1% ensuring a low noise level.
  • Four-layer PCB optimized to limit interference and ground impedance.
  • Input clock amplitude range: 0.5V - 5V Vpp (50Ω).
  • Input clock frequency range: 1-150MHz (sine or square waves).
