Discrete Amplifier Module for DX240 Black
The iBasso AMP8 MK2S is an improved version of its direct predecessor, the AMP8 MK2. This one embeds better quality capacitors in order to provide perfectly optimized performances. The AMP8 MK2S is a discrete amplifier module that can be installed on the iBasso DX240 digital audio player (sold separately). Its architecture uses discrete components rather than OPAs to provide high output voltage and current, while maintaining low output impedance and offering excellent measurements.
The AMP8 MK2S has a voltage variation of ±8V, improving the dynamics and the headroom for a particularly precise and musical reproduction. Bipolar transistors are used and matched to ensure excellent linearity. The transistors used in the buffer stage have an output current of 2000mA, allowing the amplifier to accompany both sensitive headphones and high impedance headphones.
Finally, the AMP8 MK2S offers a double output. Indeed, there is a balanced output on a 4.4mm jack and a single-ended output on a Jack 3.5mm, allowing it to be adapted to all listening devices.
