Connectivity & other features

On the connector side, the FA122 offers a balanced analog input and output in XLR 3-pin format and an unbalanced RCA Stereo output. The XLR output is directly connected to the XLR input and therefore allows you to create a chain with several FusionAMPs, the maximum number of modules being limited by the capabilities of your source. Similarly, the amplifier has an AES input and output, the output also being directly connected to the AES input. In addition, there is a SPDIF Coaxial input/output and a Toslink Optical input.

This FusionAMP FA122 integrates a DSP. A USB connector allows you to configure your amplifier via the software specially developed by Hypex. The latter offers many possibilities to adapt your amplifier to your needs, such as creating custom filters.

The front of the amplifier displays a series of 4 status LEDs. The first one is used to warn of a malfunction or when a limit is reached, in order not to damage the equipment.

• Fixed green : Amplifier power on
• Blinking green : IR signal received
• Green / red blinking : Clipping signal
• Slow green blinking : Mute mode (output stop working)
• Fixed red : DC Error / Fatal error, amplifier shutdown
• Red blinking 1 time per second : High temperature, limited output
• Red blinking 2 time per second : Over temperature, output stop working

The next 3 LEDs, green, simply display the selected custom profile and therefore in use. To change the profile, simply press the Select button. If the amplifier is in mute mode, then the LED of the selected profile will flash slowly.
