Connectivity & other features

The FA252 offers a balanced analog input and output in XLR 3-pole format, an AES3 input and output, a coaxial SPDIF input and output, a Toslink optical SPDIF input and an unbalanced RCA Stereo input. The XLR and AES outputs are directly connected to the XLR input for one and AES for the other, and thus allow you to create a chain with several FusionAMPs, the maximum number of modules being limited by the capabilities of your source.

This FusionAMP FA252 integrates a DSP. A USB connector allows you to configure your amplifier via the software specially developed by Hypex. This software offers many possibilities to adapt your amplifier to your needs, like the creation of custom filters.

The front panel of the amplifier displays a series of 4 status LEDs. The first one warns of a malfunction or the reaching of a limit, so as not to degrade the equipment.

• Fixed green: Amplifier on
• Flashing green : IR signal received
• Flashing Green / Red: Signal interruptions
• Slow green flashing: Mute mode (output muted)
• Fixed red: DC error / Fatal error, amplifier off
• Flashing once per second: High temperature, output limitation
• Flashing twice a second: Maximum temperature exceeded, output cut off

The next 3 LEDs, green, simply display the custom profile selected and therefore in use. To change the profile, simply press the Select button. If the amplifier is in mute mode, then the LED of the selected profile will blink slowly.
