S250 Amplification Module

The Atohm S250 amplifier module delivers 220W RMS power while maintaining a small footprint thanks to a power stage IcePower™ operating in Class D. The module offers several active filters offering many adjustment possibilities. X-Guard™ technology avoids the disadvantages of a conventional subsonic filter by ensuring that the excursion of the loudspeaker never exceeds its absolute limit, in order to avoid any breakage but also an increase in the distortion rate, regardless of the amplitude of the input signal. This technology also preserves the signal and its phase, unlike what a subsonic filter could do. The extreme bass is more accurate, the connection to the main speakers is more homogeneous and the loudspeaker is completely protected. The low-pass filter is adjustable from 38Hz to 150Hz with a slope of 12dB/oct or 24dB/oct, in order to be ideally suited for closed speakers or Bass Reflex. The latter can also be disengaged in LFE mode, so that the processor or home cinema amplifier can manage the entire cabinet. The various possible connections on this module ensure an optimal adaptation to any stereo or multi-channel home cinema system.
