Closed-back Dynamic Circumaural Headphone Ø45mm 38Ω 99dB 15Hz-28kHz
Based on the ATH-M50, Audio Technica's ATH M50x is closed-back HiFi and monitoring headphone designed for everyday listening, studio use and gaming. With highly accurate sound reproduction, they offer a high-quality sound experience at an affordable price. It features 45mm wide-aperture transducers for clear, immersive sound, with a wide frequency response from 15Hz to 28kHz and a sensitivity of 99db. With its 38Ω impedance, it can be driven by most source devices.
Quality transducers
The ATH-M50x's transducers are designed with a neodymium magnet and a CCAW (copper-coated aluminium) voice coil. Thanks to these 45mm diameter transducers, the soundstage of Audio Technica's headphone is wide and detailed, and the CCAW voice coils provide a perfect tonal and vibratory balance.
Versatile, comfortable headphones
Three detachable cables come with the ATH-M50x: a spiral studio cable extendable from 1.2m to 3m, a 3m studio cable and a 1.2m cable for daily listening sessions. Jack 3.5mm connectors are fitted to the headphone and source cables. A Jack 6.35mm adapter is also supplied.
Their circum-aural design guarantees excellent sound insulation, and the artificial leather earpads make them extremely comfortable even over long periods of listening. This headphone also has the advantage of being able to swivel its earpieces through 90°.
Studio-oriented design for professional use
Despite its affordable price, the ATH-M50x rivals much more high-end headphones in terms of performance, since its neutral sound reproduction is particularly suited to studio standards. It's the ideal companion whether you're recording an instrument, vocals or doing production and mixing work. Its noise isolation also makes it perfectly suited to DJs working in noisy environments. Its immersive feel also makes the ATH-M50x a great model for gaming-oriented use.
