Audio Technica unveils with the ATH-M50xBT2, the second-generation of Bluetooth headphone in its ATH-M series. As a wireless version of the ATH-M50X, it offers the same performance and sound signature. It incorporates 45mm wide-aperture transducers offering clear, immersive sound and enabling a wide frequency response from 15Hz to 28kHz and 99db sensitivity. At 38Ω, it can be driven by most of your source devices. The ATH-M50xBT2 manages to offer sound quality worthy of studio standards with wireless functionality.
Bluetooth 5.0
With its Bluetooth functionality, the ATH-M50XBT2 supports LDAC, AAC and SBC codecs. This is made possible by an AK4331 32bit DAC chip featuring Velvet Sound technology optimized for wireless devices. The ATH-M50xBT2 also features a multipoint pairing function, allowing you to stay connected to two devices simultaneously for easy task switching.
This headphone is also equipped with dual microphones and spatial filtering technology for improved voice pickup and unrivalled audio quality for phone calls. In addition, the integration of its microphones enables communication with the built-in Amazon Alexa voice assistant.
The ATH-M50xBT2, an everyday ally
With a battery life of 50h on a full charge and up to 3h on a 10min fast charge via USB-C connector, the ATH-M50xBT2 is the perfect everyday ally. A 1.2m wired connection cable is also supplied for use without Bluetooth.
In terms of ergonomics, there are buttons integrated on the headphone for simplified control of various tasks such as volume control and voice assistant activation (Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, Siri).

Quality transducers
Like those of the ATH-M50x, the ATH-M50xBT2's transducers are designed with neodymium magnets and a CCAW (copper-coated aluminium) voice coil. With 45mm diameter transducers, the soundstage of Audio Technica's headphones is wide and detailed. The CCAW coils ensure a perfect tonal and vibratory balance.
A dedicated app for additional controls
The A-T Connect app gives you access to controls for a personalized listening experience. With this app, you can activate the low-latency mode, practical for gaming and video viewing, adjust the EQ, modify the L/R volume balance, select the voice assistant of your choice, locate your lost headphones or change the codec.
