In 1990, a large recording studio in South Africa contacted Van Den Hul to design and produce a high performance cabling wire that could meet the strictest professional requirements. The result was Flexicon B4, a high quality cable combining very low conductor-to-conductor capacitance, high shielding factor and high flexibility. Flexicon B4 is ideally suited for balanced internal wiring of HiFi and professional audio equipment. The Flexicon B4 has two silver plated OFC copper strands with a cross section of 0.205mm². Each conductor is insulated with a polypropylene sheath. The double shielding is made of a dense helix of 48 strands of 0.12mm with underneath a reinforced aluminum foil specially treated and presenting a resistance of 2.85Ω/100m. Finally, the white outer jacket is made of Hulliflex®, a material with superior properties compared to PCV and giving the cable a long life without aging effects.
