Sonicaly wonderful and compatible with ribbon cables
The body of the plug is slotted so it can accommodate ribbon cables and as such is irreplaceable. Thanks to Audiophonics for this very good solution to those who use (or want to use) such cables. But this means that you should not tighten the clamping screws with excessive force because then of course you will cause the plug to split (although this does not happen easily). It can withstand enough force to tighten any cable properly but it will not forgive careless use. Sonically it is transparent, very clean and detailed, with beautiful timbres and without any harshness. Easily competes with MUCH more expensive plugs (I have a bunch of them). Loved it!

Il n' en est rien. C' est une société suédoise qui propose dew produits de treès bonne qualité à un prix ultra compétitif. Ces fiche en sont la preuve. elles sont jolies, bien calibrées et le serrage est parfait meme en faible section. Leur design minimaliste offre une finition hi end. je recommande ces fiches sans hésitation.

Très bon produit. La fente permet d’absorber les vibrations et réduit les risques de desserrage. Bien sûr il faut serrer les vis selon les normes mécaniques pour ne pas risquer de déformations, le but n’étant pas d’incruster le câble dans le métal mais de le solidariser avec la fiche en assurant un très bon contact avec le câble, les borniers des HP et des Amplis. Jantzen audio est une société qui propose d’excellents produits, parmi les meilleurs condensateurs pour filtres passifs entre autres. Ses ingénieurs ne sont pas des débutants en la matière. Ils ont intérêt à ce que leurs produits restent dans le haut de gamme tout comme leurs condensateurs Superior Z-Cap ou Alumen Z-Cap ou leurs bobines à ruban ciré. Très satisfait de leur qualité, je recommande ces fiches bananes.

These immediately bend open when you tighten the screws...?
These banana plugs are open on the sides, when you screw down on the cable, the sides immediately bend open and your cable isn't hold tightly in place.

I guess they are open on the sides to allow you to use larger cable diameter and spread out the wires through the openings... But using screwed connections without crimp sleeves is just really bad practice. I don't understand why they have the openings... Jantzen Audio's spade plugs don't have this "feature", why do these?

They are nice and short; low profile. Which is why I bought them, but I definitely wouldn't recommend them...!
