TS ViaBlue flexible plugs are used for the connection of very large speaker cables with pole terminals or clamping connections.
These plugs make contact with the speaker terminals using a gold plated conductor. This conductor has a length of approximately 5 cm. The insulation sleeve is removable.
The TS ViaBlue series has been developed to provide an ideal connector for each type of connection and type of terminal. All TS plug connectors are protected against short circuits by means of a transparent insulating sleeve.
The width of the cable entry for the TS connectors is 5 mm, allowing for assembly with cables up to 8 mm.
To help you choose your TS connectors, you can download a fact sheet that provides 1: 1 scale diagrams after printing.
Speaker cables easily and easily fit into TS ViaBlue plugs. To do this you will just need a wire stripper to strip the cable as well as a socket wrench 1.5 to secure the cable into the plug.
The speaker cable must be stripped to a length of approximately 8 mm.
It is then inserted firmly inside the plug. The cable receptacle shrinks inside the plug so that the air flow is reduced when the cable is properly inserted.
Thus, the strands of the cable areprotected against oxidation. The cable is easily fixed by the two large fixing screws, which gives it a very solid position in the plug. No welding is required.
For better protection of sensitive strands of high quality speaker cables against possible damage when attaching or against oxidation, it is recommended to use wire end ferrules ViaBlue OFC.
