Canare 4S8G STAR QUAD Speaker Cable OFC Copper 4x 1.27mm² Ø8.3mm
Canare 4S8G speaker cable features 4 OFC copper conductors for enhanced conductivity and bi-wiring capability. It also features polyethylene (PE) insulation, and its four conductors (Star Quad configuration) effectively protect it from EMI interference that may be emitted by speakers. Canare 4S8G STAR QUAD can be used bare or with connectors, if desired. We recommend using connectors of similar quality, with gold-plated OFC copper contacts, for example.
Canare 4S8G STAR QUAD: 4 conductors to minimize noise
Speaker cables carry high signal levels. This creates the risk of radiating EMI interference into adjacent cables. To solve this problem, Canare uses a Star Quad configuration, i.e. 4 conductors within its speaker cable. As each conductor is located at the same distance from the center, opposing magnetic fields are cancelled out. The attenuation of magnetic field radiation is therefore greater than with a standard 2-conductor speaker cable.
