Discover Audio Science Review's test of our MPA-S250NC Class D stereo power amplifier. As its name suggests, this amplifier is based on a Hypex Ncore NC252MP amplifier module and an integrated switching power supply (SMPS). The purpose of this amplifier is to achieve considerable power without sacrificing sound reproduction quality. It announces a power of 2x150W @ 8Ω, 2x250W @ 4Ω and 2x180W @ 2Ω, which is more than enough to accompany demanding loudspeakers and sonorize voluminous spaces. All components are enclosed in an aluminum case for efficient heat dissipation. In terms of connectivity, it naturally includes an output on speaker terminals as well as an XLR or RCA stereo input, depending on the version. A little extra, a 12V trigger input allows you to control its ignition in your Hi-Fi system. AudioScienceReview's test was based on the RCA version of the MPA-S250NC.
Audiophonics has produced one adorable stereo amplifier! I just want to sit there and look at it. Fortunately beauty goes beyond the skin, sporting a performance Hypex class D amplifier, producing top class results in all the measurements. You get near state of the art performance at bargain prices with scant space needed to dedicate to the amplifier.
