A range of integrated amplifiers
for less than €100
O-Noorus is a brand developing DACs, headphone amplifiers, integrated amplifiers and other quality audio devices at affordable prices. We'll concentrate here on its range of integrated amplifiers. It uses quality components and amplifier chips known on the market for their ability to deliver consistent power and audio quality, all incorporated in compact housings.
The PA-70 and PA-316 are both small Class D amplifiers. The PA-70 offers up to 2x 55W of power into 4 ohms (1% THD), while the PA-316 just exceeds it with up to 2x 60W of power into 4 ohms (1% THD). Both feature Bluetooth 5.0 functionality, a USB-A port (U-Disk + Audio-USB) and a subwoofer output for powering an active subwoofer. Features that are more than appreciable for small amplifiers offered at a very low price. The front panels of the PA-70 and PA-316 also feature 3 potentiometers: a volume control associated with an NJW1194 controller, and a gain control for bass and treble, each at +/- 10dB. Their interface also includes an RCA input and a stereo output on speaker terminals. The difference between these two brand references lies solely in the amplification chip used, with one Infineon MA12070 chip for the PA-70 and two TI TPA3116D2 chips for the PA-316. The strength of these small amplifiers simply lies in their versatility.

The OA70 and OA316 amplifiers are offered at a slightly higher price. This time, both feature one chip per channel. Two Infineon MA12070s for the OA-70 and two TI TPA3116s for the OA316. Like their predecessors, they feature Bluetooth 5.0 functionality thanks to a Qualcomm 32bit QCC3034 receiver chip supporting aptX and aptX HD codecs. Connectivity is less varied on these models, but we now find a balanced input on a 6.35mm TRS jack in addition to a stereo RCA input and an output on speaker terminals. The balanced stereo input on 6.35mm TRS connectors resolves potential ground loop problems and provides a purer signal. The front panel features a volume control and a source selection knob.

These two O-Noorus references have real differences that make the choice more difficult if you're hesitating between the two models.
Let's start with the PA-98E, a small amplifier capable of delivering up to 2x 125W into 4 ohms, thanks to a TDA7498E amplifier chip. It features the same front-panel design as the PA-70 and PA-316, with NJW1194 volume control and potentiometer for bass and treble adjustment. Extensive connectivity is also provided, with subwoofer output, USB-A input port and Bluetooth 5.0 receiver. In short, its strength lies in its power capacity, more than adequate for an amplifier with such a small form factor. With its 2x 125W at 4 ohms, it is capable of driving a large number of speakers available on the market, and of providing sound for a relatively large space.
The A80 is capable of delivering 2x 80W power at 4 ohms, thanks to two Infineon MA12070 chips. On the other hand, it features a more modern interface with a display and infrared remote control. Volume control is still possible via a potentiometer, while bass and treble are adjusted via the remote control. The rear panel features a subwoofer output, a Bluetooth 5.0 reception antenna and the classic stereo RCA input and output on speaker terminals. The USB port, on the other hand, is now a USB-C port coupled with a Realtek ALC44050 audio driver supporting up to 32bit 384kHz PCM. An AUX input on a 3.5mm jack is also available for an additional external source.
In their segment, the PA-98E and A80 are very good compact amplifiers offered at a more than reasonable price.
