Fosi Audio V3 Mono Review by Audio Science Review
Discover Audio Science Review's test of the Fosi Audio V3 Mono Class D power amplifier. This compact, powerful device is based on a TI TPA3255 amplifier chip, enabling it to develop up to 240W of power under a 4-ohm load. In addition, two TI NE5532 OPAs, DIP8-mounted and therefore easily replaceable, bring a beautiful coloration to the output signal. In addition, PFFB technology considerably reduces the level of distortion and noise at the amplifier's output. In terms of connectors, the Fosi Audio Mono V3 features an RCA input with adjustable gain, a balanced XLR/Jack 6.35mm combo input and a speaker terminal output. A 48V/5A power supply is supplied with the amplifier for maximum performance. A 48V 10A power supply available as an accessory also enables two Fosi Audio V3 Mono amplifiers to be powered simultaneously for a 2.0 configuration, thanks to a DC jack power doubler.

In terms of noise and distortion (SINAD), the Fosi Audio V3 Mono presents excellent measurements with a score of 100dB via its XLR input. Use of the RCA input reduces performance somewhat, but there's nothing notifiable that would disadvantage its use. Distortion, for example, remains inaudible at -115dB.

"All I can say is wow! It is incredible how far these small amplifiers have come.
