High resolution Bluetooth

The way the Bluetooth receiver circuitry is integrated, its signal processing quality and the surrounding circuitry all have a huge impact on audio performance. iFi Audio has therefore worked to ensure that the Zen Blue V2 can deliver the best possible sound quality.

Thus, all the latest Bluetooth audio protocols and codes are supported, including Qualcomm's aptX-HD, Sony's LDAC and Huawei's HWA. Other codecs supported are aptX, aptX Low Latency, AAC and SBC. This comprehensive coverage of Bluetooth codecs by the Zen Blue V2 ensures full compatibility with source devices, while allowing you to enjoy the highest resolution audio currently supported by Bluetooth.

In addition, the Zen Blue V2 is able to save the pairing of 7 source devices, allowing you to quickly switch from one device to another, while taking advantage of the large reception range offered by Bluetooth in its version 5.0.

The Zen Blue V2 DAC stage supports much higher sampling rates than Bluetooth currently allows. Thus it will never be an obstacle in the reading of your Hi-Res audio files, and will bring moreover a high level conversion for a rich, dynamic and transparent restitution.

As for the interface, nothing could be simpler. The LED in the center of the Zen Blue V2's front panel changes color to allow you to simply identify the Bluetooth codec currently in use. The LED on the right indicates the sampling rate of the file being played. Finally, the QCC5100 Bluetooth chip can be updated remotely, so that future Bluetooth codecs can be added to the Zen Blue V2.

Analog & Digital

Particularly versatile and capable of integrating into the vast majority of HiFi audio systems, the Zen Blue V2 offers a very complete panel of digital and analog connections. The rear panel integrates a stereo RCA output, a Coaxial S/PDIF output, and a Toslink Optical output. More rare for a product in this price range, the Zen Blue V2 also has a balanced output on a 4.4mm jack, to limit interference and crosstalk. A switch allows you to select the path taken by the digital signal: via the DAC then to the analog outputs or directly to the digital outputs.
