Sometimes your smartphone or tablet OTG are unable to adequately feed an external device. It can be a DAC, hard drive, external display ... etc.
This can result in malfunctions or even prevent the device to run at all.
This adapter can permanently solve this problem by shifting power input from the external device to a third port.
Your smartphone / tablet no longer has the burden of feeding the external device. This charge can now be filled by an external battery or via a traditional wall adapter that will not be subject to the same limits outgoing power your smartphone.
In this diagram showing a conventional usage model of this cable, the DATA line shown in blue and the line POWER red.
Caution: In this configuration, the POWER line is not connected to the phone. This means that the connection shown above is not capable of charging your smartphone.
You can of course use an external battery adapter in place and up sector.
This power cable + DATA allows you to use your smartphone with energy devices, even some laptops will have trouble feeding.
