The whole system benefits from the mechanical cushioning of dense silica fiber, which protects the conductors from both crushing and twisting. What's more, each insulated conductor is encased in an individual polyethylene sheath that holds the structure securely in place, while significantly limiting the copper's exposure to oxidation and other common wear factors.
