H-Wound

With over 18 years of cable manufacturing experience, Zavfino 1877Phono has developed a new technique to tighten the stranded wire firmly around a solid core center conductor. This unique technique eliminates the skin effect that damages the quality of the timbres and the natural of the restitution. For this process, the brand uses a custom-made transformer wire stranding machine with modified gears. Thus, it is able to create windings more slowly but with a much tighter pitch, without the strands overlapping. Where most stranding machines can only produce windings of up to 300 torsions per meter, the patented 1877Phono H-Wound machine allows windings of 16,000 torsions per meter.

The manufacturer adds to this the Zero Strand Loss technique which protects the conductors against damage during stripping and termination. Therefore, by ensuring that each core is perfect, flawless, the brand can guarantee that each core is 100% identical. These techniques allow these cables to offer incredible timbre precision, a magnificent sound image and an extremely rich reproduction.

UltraSonic 7 Treatment

This is a two-step process. First, the bare conductor is passed through a ceramic die in an ultrasonic cleaning chamber. This process removes impurities and imperfections from the surface of the wire, down to the molecular level. Once each wire is processed, they are bundled together for a new treatment. During this second stage, the voltage is increased while remaining below the threshold of the conductor. This adjustment makes it possible to obtain a fast break-in in addition to the 30 to 40 hours of signal and/or current that each cable receives. The Ultra Sonic 7 and Deep Cryo treatment prepare the cable to break-in in days rather than months at the user's site.
