The Shanling CD-S100 (23) is a high quality, high performance and versatile CD player. The core of the system is based on a triple-core Junzheng X2000 processor using XBurst2 architecture, ensuring high power for data processing. The digital-to-analog conversion stage uses a last version of AKM AK4493 chip, efficiently decoding the audio stream for accurate sound reproduction. The CD playback is done by a Philips CD80 servo system (MT1389L) and a Sanyo HD850 playback head.

The CD-S100 (23) is also equipped with a Bluetooth 5.0 reception function thanks to the integration of an AP6256AC chip. This one thus allows a wireless audio transmission, from a smartphone for example, and is compatible with the LDAC high quality Bluetooth codec.

There is also an input USB-A port for reading files from a storage device, or a USB-B input, capable of reading high resolution streams up to PCM 32bit 768kHz and DSD512.

For its outputs, the CD-S100 (23) provides an analog output on stereo RCA, as well as two digital outputs, in optical and coaxial formats.

Finally, the front panel of the device features a nice round LCD display with a resolution of 320*290px, capable of displaying information about the current playback as well as the album covers.
