Ian Canada's ReceiverPi DDC is a compact, functional digital interface for integration into a Raspberry Pi-based network streamer, DDC or DAC project. It's a practical way of extending your project's digital connectivity. The module integrates numerous inputs: USB, coaxial SPDIF, Toslink optical and I2S via HDMI. It is capable of decoding up to 32bit 768kHz PCM, native DSD up to DSD1024 via its USB and I2S inputs.
The interface is capable of automatically switching between inputs, depending on the signals received, and a control panel (not supplied) can also be linked to it. A dedicated GPiO port enables the use of Linux-based or Web-based control software.
For enhanced performance and/or functionality, this interface can be combined with the FifoPi reclocker, HdmiPi receiver, TransportPi interface and Amanero USB interface (sold separately). The interface can also be used without a Raspberry Pi, directly with an external DAC such as the ES9038Q2M dual-mono module.
