Utilisé pour comme interface entre un RPI4 sous Volumio avec mon DAC HEED ABACUS. Je suis très content du résultat sonore et aucun problème de pilote avec Volumio. Je recommande.

This product has been replaced by the new version, the digital interface for Raspberry Pi.
PCM 384kHz DSD128 / I2S / Coax / Optical
This digital interface is designed to fit over a Raspberry Pi type 4 / 3B +. It connects directly to the GPIO port and makes good use of the HiFiberry DAC driver.
It is natively capable of operating both on Volumio or on Moode OS where it will be immediately recognized with HifiBerry driver.
The module has an I2S output on an HDMI LVDS connector. This I2S output can be configured as native DSD to drive a DAC with native DSD support (such as an AKM DAC type AK4493). It can also be configured to broadcast the DSD frame via PCM (DOP) for use with ESS technologies (ES9038Q2M & ES9038Pro).
Switching from one mode to the other (DSD Native / DOP) is done simply by means of a jumper. When the jumper is in place, the system enters DOP mode. The IIS output can reach a sampling rate of up to 384kHz - 32bit (PCM) and DSD128 (DSD & DOP). Two diodes are used to report good reception of DSD streams (DSD LOCK).
The PCB provides a coaxial S / PDIF RCA port as well as an optical TOSLINK output. This connection supports sample rates up to 192kHz - 24bit and DOP64.
The output connectors and the DC jack connector dedicated to the device power are positioned to fall on the same side as the Raspberry PI connectors, allowing a clean assembly and installation without loose cables.
A reference chip AK4118 AKM is in charge of the conversion of the audio stream to an S / PDIF signal. The coaxial output is drivée by a DS8921 chip.
Power supply stage benefits from a ADP151 LDO which provides excellent signal stability and minimize electronic noise.
An isolation transformer Pulse PE-65612NL separates cleanly audio circuit from logic circuits and power supply.
The module offers several possibilities regarding its power-supply. It can be powered directly by the Raspberry Pi via the GPIO connection. Conversely, it may be used as a power supply for both the Raspberry Pi and itself through a DC jack 5.5 / 2.5mm connector.
Please note that neither the Raspberry Pi, or the module are designed to withstand a double power-supply. It is therefore appropriate to feed both via the DC input jack OR via the micro-USB / USB-C PI rasbperry. Both power supplies must never be used simultaneously.
The power supply circuit operates with a voltage of 5 VDC (5% tolerance). It requires at least 2A current.
