Module DAC AK4493 pour Raspberry Pi I2S 32bit 384kHz DSD128
This module DAC for Raspberry Pi is equipped with a 32bit AKM AK4493EQ digital to analog conversion chip. It receives the I2S signal transmitted by the GPIO of the Raspberry Pi to decode and re-synchronize it. The output is then made either in RCA or in 3.5mm jack. The chip used allows the module to support high sampling rates, up to 32bit 384kHz in PCM and up to DSD128. The DAC also has 6 PCM filters and 2 DSD filters to adapt the sound reproduction to your listening and system. Filters are selected using the jumper provided with the module. The rest of the circuit is also of high quality with a power management system including a Mornsun DC-DC converter and an LDOADP151AUJZ. The module output is preceded by a low distortion and low noise AOP OPA1612.
It is recommended to use Volumio or MoOde software solutions with this DAC. Then select the Hifiberry DAC driver.
The sampling rate is limited to 192kHz and DSD64 with Volumio. MoOde allows to reach 384kHz and DSD128.
The 3.5mm jack output is directly connected to the RCA output and is therefore not directly suitable for use with headphones.
Do not power your Raspberry Pi and the DAC module simultaneously as this may damage the equipment. It is sufficient to power either the Raspberry Pi or the DAC module, the power supply being shared via the GPIO.
The DAC AKM AK4493 takes advantage of the proprietary Velvet Sound technology to achieve an extremely low level of distortion while providing a wide dynamic range. The AK4493EQ incorporates a new filter capacitor OSR Doubler> which is responsible for its ability to support many types of signals, limit noise and its consumption. The Velvet Sound architecture has also been improved: noise performance on low frequencies is better and a 32bit IRD filter has been integrated for detailed playback.
