Ian Canada TransportPi Digi Module Interface Audio Numérique

The TransportPi Digi is a high performance all-in-one digital audio interface for the Raspberry Pi. It provides ultra-low jitter and low noise signal quality using IAN CANADA's proprietary 3-stage 1-bit discrete reclocking technology for SPDIF signals, and 2-stage multi-bit for I2S signals.
The TransportPi Digi also features two XO / OCXO clock slots for even higher sound quality. Its multitude of outputs (Coaxial, Optical, HDMI, GPIO) makes it a very complete and versatile module.
This product combined with a very good power supply like the UcPI or PurePi makes it one of the best digital interfaces for Raspberry Pi on the market.

This TransportPi Digi is functionally equivalent to an I2S FIFOPI re-clocker + a TransportPi MKII.

A bargain
I bought this based on positive reviews, but expected them to be hyperbole. This replaced an IQaudIO Digi+ board and was a massive improvement. Overall clarity was similar, but my system suffered in sounding hyper clear but 2D. The Ian Canada board brought weight, body and a huge amount of depth. Things are very 3D. I was not a believer that streamers could make much difference if well engineered. Well either the commercial product market is full of sub-competent engineering, or the focus on creating a low noise, ultra low jitter source with hyper accurate clocking makes more difference than those over at ASR website claim. I have enjoyed my last 2 weeks with this board and a UcPi that I've just plumped for all the flagship boards to make a no-holds-barred streamer. I reckon just this Ian Canada board I am reviewing is one of the best bargains of about 30 years in high end hifi. Those old 70s and 80s recordings that on modern digital streaming services sounded thin or cheesey now sound full 3D and immersive. More modern stuff is just more so, or louder. Everything is now like a live performance.

The device is functional, but the oscillators came incorrectly fitted. 2x 49.1520 MHz are fitted instead of 1 x 49.1520 MHz and 1 x 45.1584
