Digital Interface SPDIF Low Jitter for Raspberry Pi
Ian Canada's TransportPi is a low jitter digital audio interface in Raspberry Pi HAT format. The module is therefore input on a 40-pin GPIO connector. The module offers a complete panel of outputs with isolated Coaxial S/PDIF, Optical S/PDIF and BNC, as well as an I2S LVDS output on HDMI and a GPIO output.
Its architecture allows it to work perfectly with the FifoPi reclocker module or any other FiFo module, in order to improve the sound quality of the module by reducing the jitter generated as much as possible. As TransportPi does not directly integrate a clock, it is imperative to associate it with a clock module (such as FiFoPi for example).
The integration of this module with a Raspberry Pi, a FifoPi module and an adapted reading software solution therefore allows the design of a complete high-quality audiophile reader/interface.
The TransportPi module is not stand-alone (does not work alone).
