MATRIX M-Stage USB - Headphone and Preamp Amplifier

Matrix offers us a well-finished headphone amplifier, which of course offers a headphone output, but also a line output, to be used in pre-amp.
These two outputs are polarized in Class A , guaranteeing a very good restitution.

Both outputs can be used simultaneously.
Two inputs are available and can be selected using a button on the front panel.

The electrical diagram is relatively simple and direct, as input is a PDO Burr Brown OPA2134 followed by the volume potentiometer.
The latter is an ALPS RK27, a superior component.
The amplification part is made from 2 pairs of Class A transistors (BD139 & BD140)

Its new USB interface based on a TI chip TAS1020B and a PCM1793 allows native management of streams up to 24bits / 96Khz.

This interface is compatible with the systems: Microsoft windows7, Vista, XP, 2000, Mac OS X.

Note that this interface is natively recognized and piloted on iPAD.

Under the device, DIP switches allow you to adapt the gain to your headset, from 0 to + 20dB
