ES9038Pro 32bit 384kHz DAC TCXO Amanero I2S HDMI USB
Versatile, effective, essential
Audio-GD's DAC NFB-29.38 is back in 2017 with the new ES9038Pro ESS Saber chip and the latest Amanero USB interface.
Evolution of the 2016 version, this version of the NFB-29.38 incorporates the same new features as the NFB-27 DAC, namely: An ES9038Pro ESS Saber DAC, a better implementation of the Saber offering a shorter signal path, the ability to select hardware filters, self-detection of the DSD format (with switching without switching noise), and disengagement of the preamplifier function allowing use in pure DAC.
NFB stands for Non Feedback (no feedback) used by Audio-GD. This technology on the analog stages allows a great respect of the harmonics, without distortions, without numerical hardnesses.
USB AMANERO and I2S HDMI
The built-in SABER ES9038Pro allows you to manage 32Bit / 192kHz sources in SPDIF as well as USB, and up to 384kHz in USB Amanero. In order to use the NFB-29.38 under Windows via its USB-B input on the back cover, you will first need to download the Amanero Combo 384 AUDIO GD Driver.
Bewitching sound restitution
32bit / 384kHz / DSD / DXD / TCXO / HDMI
The 100% discrete design of this DAC (no AOP) goes through three stages (current voltage, low pass filter, buffer) to transistors without any capacitors on the audio path, supported by a class A power supply with a fast rise time capable of provide the necessary energy.
Nover capacitors (UK) have been specially manufactured using Audio-GD specifications. The Toshiba and Hitachi output transistors have been manually paired. AUDIO GD use the best components available: Wima, Dale, ESS, Atmel.
TCXO - 100MHz
Usually Audio-GD devices are equipped with standard 80MHz clocks, except this DAC Audio-GD NFB-29.38 includes the TCXO Ultra Low Jitter option of 100MHz, perfectly associated with the ES9038. This TCXO clock (temperature compensated oscillator) is more accurate significantly lowering the Jitter.
SABRE ES9038PRO
This high fidelity DAC is equipped with the famous ESS ES9038Pro 32 bit / 384kHz. This conversion chip is able to read High Definition DSD to PCM formats with one of the best signal-to-noise ratios on the market (120dB real). The analog current output stage ACSS, specific to AUDIO GD, reduces the signal with only one buffer stage and a Dale origin resistor (USA). This shortest signal path allows the ES9038Pro to reproduce the highest levels of detail and dynamics on SABRE ESS DACs.
