AKM AK4495SEQ DAC Module Board I2S 32bit 384khz 2x LDO TI LM2941 Regulators

This DAC kit with the new chip AKM AK4495EQ and input I2S allows to choose its interface USB or SPDIF not provided. One can thus design a DAC 16, 24 or 32bit up to 384Khz at low cost.

Several interfaces are possible:

By soldering a USB interface to I2S Amanero(not included), one XMOS Audiophonics(not supplied), you can be assured that you have DAC AK4495SEQUSB DSD high quality. An SPDIF / I2S selector interface can also be used in the case of a coaxial SPDIF connection. This DAC has a switch to switch the various digital filters (Sharp, Slow, apodizing, Slow Roll-Off.)

Quality control:

The power control part, a key element for a DAC AK 4495SEQ is composed of two Texas Instruments LM2941 Of type Military LDO(Low Distortion Output) with an accuracy of 5% and a rejection greater than 65 dB at 100khz.

A controller LT1084 deals with higher tensions supported by two LM337T / LM317Tfrom Onsemi (Motorola).

At the price offered this DAC offers a stability of voltage of quality with recognized passive components: Vima MKP capacitorson the signal,Elna capacitors for power filtering. The diagram has 8 diodes upstream.

A simple transformer of 14 ~ 20 V is required for the power supply.

DIP 8 slot for output:

This DAC of a DIP support 8 with a JRC5532allowing the OP stereo dual amplifier of its choice to be changed. Many possibilities are possible (not provided):

OPA2134 for a warm and shiny sound, OPA1612 for dynamic and straightforward sound, NJRMUSE 02 for a tube type sound. LME49860 for precise and incisive sound.

Elecaudio RCAs are compatible with drillingof the PCB for a better finishing result: Elecaudio RCA ER106.
