The Audio-GD DA-7 MKI 2023 features a 24-bit DAC based on a resistor network. It benefits from all the manufacturer's know-how when it comes to offering decoding via discrete components with high-frequency CPLD correction. This design feature significantly reduces distortion while keeping the price down (the logic circuit correction algorithm compensates for resistor tolerance).
This DAC module is capable of decoding up to 24bit 384KHz in NOS mode (without oversampling).
Integration with CPLD also enables native DSD decoding up to DSD512 if coupled with an Amanero or XMOS USB input interface.
For power supply, the module requires only +3.3V (+/- 5%) / 50mA.
This DIY version brings R2R High-End DAC technology in a discrete component to all uncompromising music lovers.
This is the 2023 version of the DA-7 MKI module (originally derived from the R2R Audio-GD R-7 DAC). It features an I2S input.
The output phase can be inverted to suit both balanced and unbalanced configurations.
This DAC module is sold alone, which means it doesn't integrate the output stage. Its supported sampling rate is 24bit 384kHz. To support a DSD512 input signal, you'll need to couple it to a USB Amanero or XMOS input interface.
The module requires very little current to operate (+3.3V (+/- 5%) / 50mA). Audio-GD offers HiFi quality Class A power supplies for direct connection to the DA-7 MKI 2023. These ensure separation of the power supplies between the analog and digital circuits.
One or two power supplies can be connected to a pair of DA-7 MKI 2023s to create a symmetrical stereo DAC.
The module features an I2S input via soldering pads, a power supply input and a digital/analog output. In addition, soldering pads allow it to be configured in balanced or unbalanced mode.
