NorthStar Design Impulso DSD Sabre DAC USB 32bit / 384khz
The Italian brand NorthStar Design offers here its latest converter which fulfills all its promises thanks to its many specificities.
The Impulso handles PCM digital streams up to 32 bit 384 kHz as well as native DSD 2.8 to 5.6 Mbit / s on the asynchronous USB input, optically coupled by a Texas ISO7640.
Thee High Performance DAC is an ESS Sabre ES9016 used in symmetrical double configuration.
The coaxial digital inputs are coupled to pulse transformers.
The jitter is reduced to the maximum by a DPLL ON-DAC circuit.
It has several settings of the digital filter can be selected on the PCM stream as the DSD stream.
The analog signal is available asymmetric output via RCA and balanced output via XLR. The latter is processed by a low noise integrated circuit LME 49870.
No application is required for Apple or linux operating systems. The ASIO application is required for the DSD on Windows operating systems.
