The Dynavox DAC UM1 is a small digital/analog converter that is particularly affordable but still efficient. It has a Coaxial and an Optical input. At the output you will find a stereo RCA connector and a 3.5mm headphone output, their volumes being controllable via the buttons on the front of the device or with the supplied remote control. The DAC supports PCM sample rates up to 24bit 192kHz.

The SPDIF digital circuit works with a Cirrus Logic CS8416 chip connected to a conversion circuit built around a stereo DAC CS4344 Logic chip. This chip combo from the same manufacturer works together by sharing the same prerequisites for optimal operation.
