insanely high quality built product, top notch
An absolut fantastic DAC. I love the reproduction of voices, very natural and holografic. One can easily trust the positive reviews on youtube without a doubt. Finally my Pioneer TAD S-3ex front speaker play the music at their best. I am very pleased to highly recommend this product based on my experience.

Grande Musicalité
Après avoir contacté le service clients Audiophonics afin de « déblayer le terrain » avant achat, j’ai décidé d’acquérir cette belle machine et je ne regrette rien. J’ai déjà un Gustard X26 PRO basé sur des puces Sabre. Je ne dirais pas qu’un est meilleur que l’autre, mais ne correspondent pas aux mêmes types de système. Sur mon ampli à tubes ou tout autres amplis a tendance douce, le X26 pro apporte un surcroît de définition, d’attaque. En revanche l’A26 a une coté plus neutre, plus de matière et d’espace. Il n’est surtout ni moue ni anémique, bien au contraire, mais le mariage avec mon gros transistor très vif est bien meilleur. Histoire de goût et de mariage. Il me rappelle beaucoup un dac très haut de gamme que j’ai possédé dans les années 90 ( Métronome Technologie). Vraiment très Musicale dans le sens premier du terme. Aucune partie du spectre n’est mis en avant. Tout est très bien dosé . En 2 mots : ça chante. Encore merci à audiophonics pour sa disponibilité, réactivité et ses bons conseils

Bonne machine polyvalente.
Je n’ai pas aimé la signature sonore sûr mon système. Cela manquait de matière.
Associer à un système neutre à chaleureux je suis certain qu’il fera des miracles.

Wonderfull AKM DAC in perfect implementation; a diamond waiting to be discovered.
i have bought this DAC some time ago and play only CD and SACD. Use a CD driver from Jay's Audio with upsampler. CD with upsampler button and gustard on NOS filter.. Smooth as it can gets. Combination is really wonderfull. This new AKM dac is a winner. The AKM 4499EX combination in another brand, Cary Audio, Marantz or Esoteric, can bring some upgrade. But this Gustard a26 and Jay Audio shows all the things you need to hear it all. And all in the wright colour and balance. Really natural sounding and with no glare at all. No fatigue. It doesn't downgrade other devices and went along with BW 801 D4, Accuphase C 3900, Mcintosh MC 1.25KW. Alle connected with vd Hull Cumulus 3T. Same goes for the combination with ToneWinner Class A amplifier. Another diamond on the market to be discovered. This AKM in a Gustard is a diamond to be discovered and if it is shows it real worth. Gustard A26 dac
This dac with the new AKM AK4499EX chip is a real bargain. It benefits greatly from it’s linear power setup, using two big toroidal transformers for digital and analogue stages. I came from a RME ADI2 FS dac, this is a big step up. Wider soundstage, more detail, more natural sounding instruments. Also terrific experience with Audiophonics again, fast delivery, good packaging.
