iFi Audio's Zen Signature DAC returns in a V2 version, now featuring a 16-core XMOS USB interface and improved clocking circuitry for even more pure and accurate sound reproduction.

For the rest, the DAC takes the excellent base of its predecessor, embedding high-end audio components such as a Burr Brown DAC, Panasonic OS-CON, Murate and ELNA Silmic II capacitors, or a TOCOS multi-track potentiometer.

True Native

The digital stage of the Zen DAC Signature V2 keeps its True Native architecture. This allows to support high sampling rates in Bit-Perfect, up to 32bit 384kHz PCM and DSD256, as well as DXD. The iFi Audio programmed XMOS chip, processing the USB input data, as well as the high performance clocks contribute to the excellent digital to analog conversion offered by the Zen DAC Signature V2.

A 16-core USB interface

Thanks to its new 16-core XMOS USB interface, the Zen DAC Signature V2 now becomes a true MQA (Master Quality Authenticated) decoder. This technology allows you to enjoy a sound reproduction as close as possible to the original studio recording. The reading and decoding of an MQA file is indicated on the device by a green or blue LED. The latter color indicates the playback of an MQA Studio file, which has been approved in the studio by the artist or producer, or has been verified by the copyright holder.

High performance connectivity

The Zen DAC Signature V2 offers jitter-free data transmission. The USB-B input operates asynchronously, with the data rate precisely regulated by the clock circuitry.

An RCA output offers an unbalanced connection to an amplifier and a balanced 4.4mm jack output allows a balanced signal transfer between compact devices that cannot integrate XLR connectors.

Fixed or variable output level

The Zen DAC Signature V2 outputs can be configured with either a fixed or variable output level. The variable output mode offers volume control. The fixed output mode is ideal for integration with equipment that has its own volume control, for a more direct circuit.
