The Loxjie D10 is both a USB DAC and a sedentary headphone amplifier. Using an ESS ES9038Q2M chip, it provides transparent reproduction with a high signal-to-noise ratio and a very low level of distortion. In addition, the DAC, in combination with the USB XMOS interface, supports sampling rates up to 32bit 768kHz in PCM and the DSD up to DSD512. The clocks integrated into the circuit allow the jitter to be lowered.

"The Loxjie D10 has an innovative form factor and industrial design. It has equal pluses and minuses in practice so I let you judge that aspect. On performance front, its DAC nearly aces all of my tests, going well past its budget pricing. Unfortunately the ESS IMD Hump is there, knocking it back a step or two. Still, I think it provides a very good option for a DAC at such a reasonable price."

Efficient amplification system

For the headphone amplifier stage, the D10 includes a specially developed MTCAC (Multi-Chip Current Amplifying Circuit) circuit using discrete components on a Class AB architecture. This ensures low distortion and a high output level, allowing the D10 to be combined with many headphones, including demanding models requiring a significant power input.
