Loxjie presents the D50, a resolutely modern DAC based on an excellent AKM AK4499 chip and XMOS USB interface. It supports PCM streams up to 32-bit / 768kHz, DSD512 and MQA (full decoding). Its circuit also incorporates an AK4114VQ SPDIF chip with autodetection of non-PCM flows (DOP ...) and a phase-locked loop optimized to limit audio jitter. This bold audio circuit delivers excellent measurements, especially with an incredibly low distortion of 0.000068% (123dB) as well as a dynamic range of up to 131dB.

Equipped with extended connectivity, the device can work with digital audio streams over USB, SPDIF (coax / optical), Bluetooth 5.0 but also I2S via HDMI LVDS. It also has an single ended (RCA) & balanced (XLR) output.

Sober and elegant with its full aluminum casing, the D50 LOXJIE is equipped with a high-resolution color IPS screen with adjustable brightness for a nice, readable and user-friendly interface.

DAC AK4499

The latest AKM flagship, the AK4499 DAC chip enables precise, fast and clean conversion of high resolution audio files. The D50 integrates on its digital / analog conversion stage an AK4499 chip with Thesycon drivers allowing transparent and rich sound reproduction and supporting PCM files up to 32bit 768kHz and DSD up to DSD512 (via USB and I2S). This component is one of the best digital-to-analog conversion solutions available today and allows the D50 to measure a signal-to-noise ratio of 131dB with a remarkable distortion rate of -123dB.

MQA Support

MQA (Master Quality Authenticated) files provide the same quality as recording the song in the studio, allowing a much lower level of distortion, revealing a wider soundstage and ensuring richer and more precise reproduction.

The MQA uses a treatment called "musical origami". This makes this high-resolution file easy to manage in order to make it compatible with all audio playback services and devices. This process consists of 3 steps.

Connectivity

With its many input connections, the D50 can join a large majority of different audio systems, offering many options for use and installation.

For its input connectors, it has a USB-B (XMOS), Coaxial, Optical Toslink, and I2S LVDS via HDMI inputs. This I2S input can operate in normal or inverted mode depending on source type.

On the output side, the D50 offers single ended stereo RCA and balanced XLR. The output stage is driven by an OPA1612 operational amplifier.

Its on-board volume controller allows it to directly drive a power amplifier but can also be bypassed to switch to pure DAC mode if you have a particularly precise preamplifier in order to optimize the signal path.

Bluetooth 5.0

The Loxjie D50 allows Bluetooth reception, particularly practical for streaming music from your phone. It supports SBC codecs & apt-X in order to benefit from a stable connection that does not overcompress the signal. Its receiver enjoys a comfortable range (up to 10m) thanks to an antenna supplied to be fixed to the back of the box.
