The Original Audio OPA-Q2.1SE is a headphone amplifier and DAC. It delivers great performance thanks to its careful design. Its various functions and its numerous inputs and outputs make it a very good all-rounder.
DAC ES9038Q2M & USB XMOS Interface
The digital / analog conversion stage of the OPA-Q2.1SE embeds a very efficient ES9038Q2M DAC chip, offering excellent performance for precise and detailed sound reproduction. This DAC is notably associated with an XMOS USB interface, allowing you to enjoy high-resolution audio streams up to PCM 32bit 768kHz and DSD64.
Bluetooth reception with QCC5125 chip
Behind its antenna, the OPA-Q2.1SE hides a QCC5125 Bluetooth receiver. This will allow you to broadcast your music remotely, directly from a connected smartphone for example. In addition, this chip supports high definition transmission codecs such as AAC, SBC, aptX, aptX HD and LDAC, allowing to reach excellent wireless sound quality.
A rigorous design
All the circuits of the OPA-Q2.1SE demonstrate great rigor, both in the architecture itself and in the selection of components or assembly. Thus, there are fully symmetrical headphone amplification circuits ensuring a very low level of distortion. The headphone amplification section is also based on the use of discrete components.
Two high-end 1612A double AOPs also provide a filtering function to provide beautiful sound transparency. A specially designed analog audio processing module also reinforces this sound neutrality while providing a certain musicality.
Great versatility
The OPA-Q2.1SE demonstrates great versatility thanks to these different inputs and outputs. Indeed we find on the box a USB type C input, an optical input and a coaxial input in addition to bluetooth.
Moreover, at the output level there are a 6.35mm Jack output, a 4.4mm balanced jack output, and also a balanced XLR 4 pins headphone output. On the other side there is a balanced XLR stereo output and an RCA stereo output allowing you to connect the OPA-Q2.1SE to an amplifier or active speakers.
A robust and modern frame
All components are housed in a sturdy CNC machined aluminum housing. In addition, this frame has a sober but modern aesthetic that will fit into many HiFi systems.
