The Sabaj D5 is a solution that acts as both a DAC and a headphone amplifier. It ensures excellent performance, thanks to a careful architecture and components selected for their audio qualities. It also offers balanced outputs to integrate into all audio systems and enjoy a rich and detailed sound reproduction.
The D5's digital-to-analog conversion stage uses an excellent ESS ES9038Pro chip, known for its audio performance and its ability to reproduce transparent and neutral sound. A chip that offers particularly interesting measurements, including a dynamic range of 140dB. In addition, this chip supports high resolution streams, up to PCM 32bit 768kHz and DSD512.
All the circuits and stages of the D5 are equipped with high quality components. We find in particular an ESS ES9311 ultra low noise linear voltage regulator and a high efficiency sealed transformer, an XMOS XU208 32bit USB interface supporting 32bit 768kHz and DSD512 streams, four OPA1612 AOPs, an Altera MAX II CPLD associated with NDK oscillators as well as numerous discrete components in the headphone amplifier and the analog circuit.
