Pas mal, satisfaisant.
C'est mon premier DAC. Combiné à un ampli Studio old school BGW 750G et des baffle Vulkan Mk3 j'en suis ravis. Ce n’a pas été le grand changement vus que j'utilisais ma sortie PC qui inclus déjà une sortie piloté par un OPA 2134, une Gigabyte Gaming, mais les graves sont mieux maîtrisé, plus sec et l'ensemble est plus aéré, plus propre, les instruments sont mieux détachés.
Mes VU m'indiques aussi une dynamique accrue. Le branchement est fait avec des câbles Sommer XLR, qualité Studio.
A l'écoute de Poem of Chinese Drum je fus complémentent convaincu: les tambours sont comme des coups de foudre avec la vibrations des peaux... sublime. Et après My Bass, quelle profondeur... ou Bass Drops...
Un bon choix si on veut un DAC simple, performant et pas cher.
Voyons la durée de vie...

It sounds amazing;i have tried usb and coaxial inputs.The biggest surprise was the way the games in windows sounded.As always with smsl replace the usb cable.Alsi there were no batteries for the remote control and the power cord is too short; about 1m.This is the best dac i have ever owned.

Nice choice
After a SU6 dac that unfortunately broke irreparably at 15 months, I decided to proceed with the purchase of this dac since the various reviewers said good things.
Well it's excellent, more balanced, wide, airy and accurate, with excellent clarity for the money always, dynamic at full and very accurate. It looks and is superior in quality to the previous one, heavier with a better chip I think to the 9038.
It has been combined with a SMSL amplifier DA-9 which is powerful with good currents and 2 Polk R100 bookshelf speakers for desktop use (optical connect with pc).
I'm happy and haven't found a flaw yet.

That's my first DAC, but I can tell when the sound quality is nice.

Checked with coax/optical and Bluetooth (LDAC)
The volume via optical is a bit lower than coax.
I tested the usb input with my win11 laptop. I used the issued cable from the box, and the display went to "384" as I plugged it in. No drivers needed.
I set it to 24/96 and played a few flacs of the same quality. Sounded nice. System sounds, Youtube videos were ok.

It's early, but as far as I can taste, the sound is well balanced.
Treble is not sibilant, though my speakers feature titanium domes and can be fatiquing with low quality music.
Bass is there, too.
Sound is overall transparent, without strange colorations.
The remote control is very handy.
I use D-6s as a center of all my digital sources (Bluray, win11 PC), Sony MD Deck, Cellphone)
So the remote acts like a universal volume control of my humble system.
Let's hope D-6s proves reliable...
