SMSL DO200 MKII
DAC 2x ES9068AS XMOS XU-316 Bluetooth 5.0 32bit 768kHz DSD512 MQA
SMSL's DO200 DAC is back in an improved version, the DO200 MKII. As for its big brother, its digital/analog conversion stage is equipped with two ESS9068AS DAC chips, able to offer a transparent, rich and precise sound reproduction. The USB interface is however updated with the excellent XMOS XU-316 chip. The combination of these two components allows the support of high sampling rates, up to PCM 32bit 768kHz, DSD512 as well as the decoding of MQA files. The display of the device has also been modified to offer a better readability.
MQA decoding
MQA (Master Quality Authenticated) is an award-winning British technology that restores the sound of the original recording. The MQA Master file is authenticated by the artists, producers or rights holders. These files are light enough to stream or download.
The DO200 MKII incorporates an MQA decoder to read these files in order to provide the best possible audio quality.
Bluetooth 5.0 - QCC5125
Particularly practical, the DO200 MKII, in addition to its connectivity, is equipped with a Bluetooth 5.0 receiver from Qualcomm. This one supports the classic codecs SBC and AAC, as well as the high quality codecs aptX, aptX-HD and LDAC, allowing to reach a restitution close to that of the CD, in wireless.
A readable and practical screen
The DO200 MKII is equipped with a new, brighter and more readable display, protected by a tempered glass window. It clearly displays all the essential information for a comfortable use of the camera.
Versatile connectivity
The back of DO200 MKII reveals a particularly complete connectic, allowing the DAC to adapt to the great majority of audio systems. On the input side, we find USB-B, I2S via HDMI, AES/EBU, optical, coaxial and of course Bluetooth. On the output side, the DO200 provides single-ended stereo RCA and balanced stereo XLR.
