LSMSL's DS100 is a compact, high-performance DAC that can also act as a headphone amplifier. With its well-designed construction, it offers great versatility and high-quality sound reproduction.
SMSL DS100 : Cirrus Logic CS43131 Chip
SMSL's DS100 is based on Cirrus Logic's CS43131 chip. In addition to high-quality digital/analogue conversion, this chip offers an output of 2 Vrms for 600 Ω high-impedance headphones with >110 dB inter-channel isolation, and 30 mW for 32 Ω low-impedance headphones. Thanks to this Cirrus Logic chip, the DS100 is capable of driving a wide range of headphones.
SMSL DS100 : Xmos XU316 USB interface
The DS100's USB-C input is paired with a high-performance XMOS XU316 interface, which efficiently processes the audio signal received. In conjunction with the CS43131 DAC, it enables the SMSL DS100 to support high-resolution audio signals up to PCM 32bit 768kHz and DSD512.
SMSL DS100 : MQA and MQA-CD
The DS100 also incorporates an MQA (Master Quality Authenticated) decoder. This format offers very high sound quality, as close as possible to studio recording, with each file authenticated by the artist, producer or copyright holder. SMSL's DAC also supports MQA-CD.
