Dual AKM AK4493S DAC

The main improvement of the E30 II is its digital/analog conversion stage. It now uses two AKM AK4493S DAC chips connected in parallel, each dedicated to a channel, thus offering much better performance. These chips are themselves improvements of the AK4493 chip. They also benefit from the proprietary Velvet Sound technology and ensure a sound reproduction that is both precise and rich in detail.

XMOS XU208 USB Interface

The USB-B input of the E30 II allows a simple and powerful use of the DAC. It is associated with an XMOS XU208 interface and a particularly stable and reliable Thesycon custom driver. Moreover, this input ensures an extremely low jitter level. The combination of this interface with the AK4493S DACs also allows the E30 II to support high resolution audio streams, up to PCM 32bit 768kHz and DSD512.

Simple and efficient connectivity


In terms of connectivity, the E30 II does not overdo it but offers a complete range of connectivity, allowing it to be integrated without difficulty into the vast majority of audio systems. The input is USB-B, Toslink optical and coaxial. The output is simply in stereo RCA.

5V Power supply

Practical, the E30 II is powered by 5VDC. It can be used almost anywhere and can be connected to a computer, a phone charger or a powerbank. The integrated protection circuitry protects the E30 II and will display an error message in case of a bad power supply.

Discrete LNRD circuit

In order to solve the noise problem that can be caused by the 5V power supply, the E30 II includes a discrete LNRD (Low Noise Reference Driver) circuit. It filters the noise from the 5V power supply to provide an ultra-low noise and stable electrical signal to the audio circuits. Thus, the background noise of the E30 II is less than 1.5µV.

PCM & DSD Filters

The E30 II provides six PCM filters and two DSD filters. These allow you to adjust the sound reproduction of the device according to your preferences and your audio system.

Auto ON/OFF function

Avec sa fonction Auto ON/OFF, le E30 II s'allume et sélectionne automatiquement l'entrée recevant un signal audio valide. de la même manière, si l'appareil ne reçoit aucun signal durant une minute, celui-ci s'éteint alors automatiquement.

Pure DAC Mode

The E30 II has a function to lock its maximum output level. This allows it to operate in pure DAC mode. In this mode, the DSD signals bypass the DATT soft mute and the Delta Sigma modulator to provide optimal sonic performance.

Volume control

Topping's DAC also includes a volume control, allowing the volume to be adjusted over a range of -99dB to 0dB using the remote control. The E30 II can therefore be directly connected to a power amplifier or active speakers.

J'ai commandé ce petit dac pour me faire un avis. Je l'utilise avec un transport cd ancien qui possède une excellente mécanique et je suis très surpris du résultat. C'est assez bluffant au regard du prix. De l'air, les ambiances et réverbérations bien retranscrites, pas de mise en avant de certaines fréquences et plutôt doux en haut.
J'ai testé plusieurs lecteurs cd avec des résultats beaucoup moins bons. Comme toujours il faut un drive à la hauteur.

Bon DAC pour Toslink
Je cherchais un bon DAC capable de fonctionner avec la sortie optique de ma TV LG, réputée pour avoir des soucis de compatibilités occasionnant des micro-coupure de son.
J'ai choisi ce modèle après beaucoup d'hésitations, car le descriptif stipulait une compatibilité spdif améliorée, et je dois dire que je ne suis pas déçu, aucune micro-coupure en 3 mois d'utilisation.
Niveau qualité sonore, je ne suis pas assez qualifié pour une analyse détaillée, je dirai juste qu'il sonne assez neutre comparé à mes anciens DACs, son très dynamique et détaillé.
Je l'utilise en préampli avec un module 3E Audio TPA3255 (2x150w) et le rapport signal/bruit est excellent, bonne dynamique et absence totale de souffle même à bas volume.
Pour les défauts, télécommande générique et très directive, et panoplie de filtres assez inutiles, je reste sur celui par défaut. Un petit DSP à la place des filtres serait beaucoup plus utile.
J'espère que la fiabilité sera au rdv !

bon produit
Petit Dac Dual Mono très sympa ; beaucoup doux que certaines autres marques mais très détaillé à l’écoute.
La fabrication est de qualité.

Penser à faire la mise à jour du Firmware avec l’application sur PC
