The DAC-19 is back in version 2016 (and NOS mode), with an update of its DSP and an additional clock dedicated to the management of asynchronous transfers, it is now able to manage sampling rates records: up to 384kHz.

Oversampling modes and a "NOS" mode

The novelty concerns the mode without Oversampling "NOS". The DSP 1 includes two distinct operating modes. This new DSP makes it possible to get rid of the noise problems associated with NOS mode by keeping its advantages in terms of musical pleasure thanks to a filtere -6dB not destructive.
Mode 1 favors the speed of data transfer, the second allows processing on DSP FIFO with algorithm.

384kHz / USB AMANERO / TCXO / ACSS

Every product of the brand is scrupulously tested in all seams with one of the most powerful systems in the world: the Audio Analyzers 2700 Series from Audio Precision.

The NOS 19 is equipped with an R-Core transformer, WIMA capacitors, and Date resistors. It is designed around the PCM1704UK and the Altera Cyclone DSP that work in parallel, as well as a Class A ACSS discrete circuit without any PDO with separate power supply.

TCXO - 100MHz

Usually the Audio-GD devices are equipped with the standard 80MHz clock, except this Audio-GD NOS 19 includes the TCXO Ultra Low Jitter option of 100MHz. This TCXO (Temperature Compensated X (Crystal) Oscillator) clock is more precise and significantly reduces the jitter.

PCM1704UK

This analog digital converter makes use of the R2R conversion which consists in directly using the bits of the digital signals to reconstruct the analog signals, all this acting on a network constituted solely of resistors having a given value (R) and its double (2R ), without going through an over-sampling phase.

Bought this DAC to use on my Meridian player and connect digital TV, streaming. Great sounding and very nice depth, harmonics in the soundstage. What can 44.1kHz (NOS) be great, just like that, simply it is sublime. Thank you Audiophonics and mr Kingwa. I can play a bit with the preferences but the standard is already great. The Qubosissime helped me make the choice, and I'm not disappointed. Next step: subscribe to Q and attach a streamer.
