Duo AKM AK4497

The DAC 100 uses two chips AKM AK4497 32-bit stereo digital to ensure decoding of high accuracy while maintaining a minimal noise level (S / N ratio of 128dB and THD + N of -166 dB).

This architecture allows it to decode finesse the high resolution audio files. It thus supports the PCM to 192KHz / 16/24 bits, the  as well as the DOP 64 

These chips also can refine the decoding through technology Velvet Sound that promotes the deployment of the sound stage for extended listening space. This helps to create a stereo effect rich in detail.

6 digital filters are available to choose from to accommodate the peculiarities and preferences of the user and its audio system.

High precision analog output

The analog part is extremely neat.
outputs and analog buffers filters use a scheme based on discrete JFET transistors.
This type of system allows a high supply voltage and a high buffering power class A.

Thus the bandwidth is very high, while maintaining a level of crossover distortion and minimal noise.
The result is a listening its relaxing, natural and rich in detail.

The USB interface is based on a chip XMOS U208. An ideal choice for a high quality since the DAC U208 is equipped with two separate clocks femtosecond (asynchronous communication). 

This construction also keeps the jitter and phase noise to a considerably low level (-160 dBc / Hz @ 1 KHz)

Très bien, mais...
Très bon DAC et bonne surprise au regard des filtres qui se révèlent simples et efficaces. Le son est comparable et souvent meilleur que celui de mon streamer 3D Lab beaucoup plus couteux.
Deux bémol néanmoins: la présentation qui est vraiment basique au regard des qualités de l'appareil et la livraison de la poste (COLISSIMO) catastrophique. (carton déchiré et cabossé, à demi ouvert..). AUDIOPHONICS affirme laisser le choix dans le cadre du transporteur mais en réalité, lors de la commande, COLISSIMO est imposé. Pour ma part, je suis résolu à ne plus valider aucune commande de produits à risques avec COLISSIMO.
