The new SMSL M8A, big brother of the excellent M8, looks like a high fidelity USB DAC at an affordable price. For example, this new version offers an ES9028Q2M SABRE ESS converter, an asynchronous XMOS Xcore 200 Xu208 USB interface and support for the 768kHz DSD512.

The SMSL M8A features a high-quality OLED display, giving you significant comfort during your listening sessions to simply select your source or view the type of file being decoded.
ESS ES9028Q2M Sabre DAC
Based on the "32bit HyperStream" architecture but also "Time Domain Jitter Eliminator", the ES9028Q2M delivers a dynamic range (DNR) up to 125dB (in the case of the SMSL M8A) and a total harmonic distortion (THD+N) of -120dB, while minimizing jitter. In this way you get an exceptionally pure sound.
USB XMOS Xcore 200 XU208 Interface
Taking advantage of the new XMOS Xcore200 XU208 with 8 cores, the SMSL M8A USB interface offers increased power and flexibility for your most demanding applications. It supports PCM files up to 768kHz and DSD512. In addition, the USB of this SMSL M8A offers a wide compatibility with the majority of current operating systems (MAC OSX 10.6, Windows 7/8/8.1/10, iOS, Android
