xDuoo MU-604 DAC symétrique

The xDuoo MU-604 is a compact and very powerful symmetrical DAC. Thanks to its XMOS USB receiver and its ES918K2M dual DAC, this DAC will allow you to read audio files up to 32bit / 384kHz, as well as native files up to DSD256.

As for input connections, this device offers 4 different ones: SPDIF Coaxial, SPDIF Optical, USB 1.0 on the front (no driver required), USB 2.0 on the back (XMOS driver required).
On the output side you can choose between stereo RCA connectors, or balanced 3-pin XLR connectors.
On the front panel you will find a nice OLED display, showing you the input used, and the sample rate read.

xDuoo MU-604

Double DAC ES9018K2M

The digital/analogue conversion stage of the xDuoo MU-602 uses two ES9018K2M DAC chips. Used in many HiFi devices, these 32Bit chips allow the playback of Hi-Res audio files.

XMOS XU208

The USB XMOS interface operates in asynchronous transmission mode, and supports WASAPI, ASIO, KS Core modes, which greatly reduces the jitter of the device. This chip is located on the USB 2.0 input at the back of the product, and requires a driver to run under Windows (Attached download file).

perfect DAC for my ends
Got XDUOO MU-604 Balanced DAC in two days!
It is just what I expected it to be. It is connected to tube amp x7, I love the sound it gives (lossless files) - slightly different but as clear and clean as from turntable or CD player+ Vitalizer mk2T. Plus I can tailor the sound to my liking. I love it! Highly recomended!

Significant upgrade from my older USB DAC
Initial impression is great clarity and very even tonality. This has excellent performance at a very good price. I am very satisfied. I can't compare with more expensive models as I don't have one to compare with, but this a very significant upgrade from a similarly priced DAC of a few years ago.
