A powerful DAP, a sublime screen

To ensure a totally smooth experience and excellent performance, the iBasso DX150 features choice components. This will include an 8-core ARM Cortex-A53 processor coupled with 2GB of LPDDR3 RAM for data processing. The DAP also includes a 32GB eMMC memory, fast and efficient.

On the display side, there is a superb high definition Retina screen of 4.2 inches and displaying a resolution of 768 x 1280 pixels. A capacitive multi-touch OCA touch screen, allowing intuitive navigation within the interface. The screen is protected by a glass from Mitshubishi allowing a transmission of 93%.

Symmetrical DAC design at outputs

The DX150 uses two AKM AK4490EQ chips for its conversion stage. Each AK4490EQ chip incorporates two DACs. This means that the DX150 has two DACs in parallel for each channel for exceptional playback. In addition, it has several ultra-low noise power controllers to provide these DACs with the cleanest signal possible. The Panasonic film capacitors and symmetrical design allow these two AK4490EQs to reach their full potential. After various tests with measuring equipment (APX525) a THD+N of -110dB and a Signal/Noise Ratio of 118dB were measured. These results clearly show that the DX150 makes full use of the performance of its two DACs.

Full synchronization technology with TCXO and PLL clock

The DX150's DAC is really different from DACs using multiple oscillators. With its TCXO and PLL based synchronization technology, the DX150 reduces jitter to an extremely low level. In addition, with this technology there is no need to change oscillators to adapt to each sampling rate. This eliminates the small "click" that is normally heard when changing the clock. In addition, for the first time a DAP uses PLL technology that is more commonly found in sedentary High End devices. This provides an almost identical input and output clock. With this extremely accurate clock the sound quality is improved for an optimal musical experience.
