To commemorate the 10th anniversary of the DX320 Walkman and the 16th anniversary of the brand, iBasso is releasing a limited edition of only 500 copies of the beautiful DX320 Edition X ! This brand new version unveils a different design, made from a "liquid" effect metal alloy. With soft lines and curves that intersect and blend into each other, the DX320 Edition X offers an innovative, decidedly modern aesthetic, the appearance of which has been patented by the brand in 2020.
For the rest, the DX320 Edition X takes the excellent internal architecture of the standard version. As a high-end digital music player, the iBasso DX320 Edition X has an extremely careful design, thought to offer the best sound performances for an outstanding musical experience. Powerful and full of features, the DX320 Edition X is the perfect companion for listening at home or on the go.
FPGA Master
At the heart of the DX320 Edition X is an FPGA-Master designed specifically for these models. The role of the FPGA-Master is to recover the audio data sent by the SoC in order to maintain a clean and stable signal. Combined with two Accusilicon clocks (45.1584M and 49.152M), it generates and perfectly synchronises the clock signals. In short, it ensures a drastic reduction in jitter to provide an extremely clean digital audio signal.
Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor
The integrated 8-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor, etched in 14nm, offers incredible power to efficiently process audio signals while allowing smooth navigation within the device's interface. This SoC is combined with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage (ROM) (expandable via Micro SD card not included).
Dual battery
The DX320 Edition X's power stage incorporates two independent batteries. The first powers the digital stage, while the second powers the headphone amplifier. This separation of the power supplies limits possible interference between the digital and analogue circuits in order to reduce the level of distortion as much as possible.
ROHM BD34301EKV Dual DAC
No less than two RHOM BD34301EKV DACs are used in the digital/analogue conversion stage of the iBasso DX320 Edition X, for a total of 4 conversion channels. These combined channels allow the DAP to have a totally symmetrical conversion circuit while favouring its sound performance.
