HIFIMAN Prelude : Class A amplification

The Prelude features Class A amplification based on MOSFET transistors in a fully discrete balanced circuit. To take full advantage of this architecture, the circuit incorporates a signal balancer, transforming the RCA input signal into a fully balanced signal, drastically reducing noise and interference. The result is a natural-sounding signal with a power handling of 10W at 32Ω.

HIFIMAN Prelude : Channel balance

To achieve precise control over channel balance for its pre-amplifier, HIFIMAN uses a 4-voice potentiometer from ALPS, known for its high quality and precision, enabling the brand to fine-tune this parameter without coloring the sound in any way.

HIFIMAN Prelude : Low-noise power supply

Specially designed for the Prelude, the high-power, low-noise toroidal transformer provides a clean, stable power supply at all levels of the headphone amplifier, helping to improve the quality of the final output. The amplifier housing is made from a single piece of aluminum, isolating harmful resonances that can degrade audio performance, guaranteeing a clean sound output.
